The story follows Reno, a young guy who works in an auto shop, as he gets involved in the world of drag racing and gangs. He falls for Dina, gang member Vargas' sister. The racing scenes are really good, considering how small the production budget must have been (this is Roger Corman, after all). Probably one of the most interesting aspects of the film is how it brings in the politics of migrant workers, not too common a subject
